Today at Our House: by Jenny Rempt

WOAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Today they got the entire house shingled, closets and windows totally framed in the basement, duct work started, the garage floor and front stoop poured and the drive leveled/graveled again!!!  Bryan and I spent a few hours with our cabinet lady and got the kitchen designed and cabinets/features finalized there, as well as figured out the bathroom counters and cabinets!!  We talked through trim and doors and even a bit of paint!  We have a meeting with our builder tomorrow to finalize a couple details but we have identified for sure what we want and where we want upgrades in the kitchen and WE ARE SO SO SO SO SO SO SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Again, the pictures aren't great from my phone but enjoy a few shots of our home continuing to quickly take shape!

The Birthday Celebration Begins!

This weekend we got to spend some lovely time with Bryan's Mom and Dan and sister Sarah and her family.  Sarah's birthday is the 4th and Sam's is the 10th... so Sarah got a birthday meal and Sam got a couple early presents!  Two hot items--- train cars and a John Deere semi truck--- one of which can be found in his grasp at all times!  We tried to get a picture of Grandpa and Grandma and the three kids but no such luck!  Jordyn napped mid-morning and so by the time she was up and had eaten a late lunch Miss Campbell was melting, ready to snooze.  We'll try again soon!  Love a good long weekend spent with family!

don't take my picture momma!

he was very in to the card

she's just as amazed as he is!

Campbell showing him the third car

I know what this one is Dad!  Get it out! Get it out!

he had spotted this truck a few weeks before and begged for it!

he loves it

he rolled/scooted around to try it out and watch from all angles!

she's no dummy and saw her chance to play with a few of the new train cars

Tired Pup

What a comfy set up!?!!  Here you see one tired boy after his second full week of school but he's doing GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!!!!!!!  Gone are the daily two hour naps but about every third day (plus the weekend) this is how you'll find him when he gets home.  We couldn't be more proud of Sam or more thankful for the kind teachers that push and encourage him each day!  Bryan and I are very excited to see what this school year holds for our dear boy.

Row row row BOAT!

Campbell and I were playing on the floor for a few minutes while we waited to get Sam early from school today due to heat. She sings this song rather well but today I was only able to record a mumbly though still cute version!  Sorry for the who wants to be a millionaire noise in the background... it seems loud- we were watching the ticker for information about school cancellations.

I waited her out!!!

Campbell is such a talker!  Bryan and I are getting used to this new normal since those sweet sounds have yet to come from her brother.  We are both huge suckers for all that she has to say in her fun little voice.  She is very quiet shy when you first meet her and often doesn't speak much for a while when in front of others.  She is also quite stubborn and almost always refuses to cooperate when I pull out the camera.  This day I decided to wait her out and I'm glad I finally got a little of her cuteness recorded!  She has a lot to say and it's oh so lovely having conversations with her from sun up to sun down!

Flashback Friday

These pictures were taken at the beginning of March... how different they look a quick half of a year later <3 p="p">

kind of wild eyes in this picture but man does he seem a baby to me...
