Day 2--- the footings are poured

I promise I won't get all of this building lingo correct so hang in there with me- I'm going to do my best : )  My mom and sister were in town this morning for a quick visit so they were able to walk with us and check things out.  Jamie took pictures for me while Grandma and I carried kids. 

Bryan has been working really long days during this his busy time of the year so we went out again later that evening with him.

What a great first day!!  

We're Officially Building a HOME!!!!!!



Big news for the Rempt family!!!  We have decided to build a house in Tiffin--- a cute, growing town just mintues away from where we live now.  It's been quite the process to figure out this next step for our family.  We've been happily crowded, renting for the last few years and are beyond thrilled to have the chance to build a home for our family--- the first one our kids will really remember.  It's been a wild start to the week on this fine corner lot... but first... here's what things looked like before we began---



We are the first house going up on this side of the block.  Today a few pieces of equipment were delivered and stakes were put in place.  We're getting closer!!

Hang in there with me--- these and the many pictures to come have been taken with the camera on my phone while I have two children waiting in the car or tramping wildly around the uneven ground beside me--- the perfect probably isn't going happen : )
